I've one existing layer of vinyl sheet which ~20 years old. I'd like to put a new vinyl sheet new.
Is it best to lay the vinyl flooring on top of the existing vinyl or should the old one be removed?
Thanks for all answers!
What's the likelihood of the old floor getting damaged during the vinyl removal?

if the old vinyl is down really good, then it is just as good as the floor beneath it. if it is lumpy or peeling anywhere then it needs to be removed,. but it is a royal pain to remove

the old one needs to be removed,if not the new floor will take any pattern that the old one has and once it does that its there for good,at least put luan over the old layer first, then you will be ok

Any voids or defects in the old vinyl or even the wood floor will show through the new product. You need a smooth surface to install on.

    Hi,

Oak Flooring is an element which is certain to add certain uniqueness to your house, both in terms of looks and durability. Natural forest products are the best in terms of quality as there is no dilution which usually accompanies any form of artificial manufacture. Oak wood is known universally for its natural hardiness and its longevity. Not only that, it is available in a variety of warm shades and colors, which lend a very pleasant feel. This aesthetic value is another USP of oak flooring. As a result, even today connoisseurs swear by the genuineness of oak flooring.
