We are in the middle of building a house and are going with a cream kitchen and black granite worktops but cannot decide on the colours of our tiles. The kitchen is big and open plan to the dining room which will have walnut floors and we have alot of natural light. Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Either run the walnut flooring into the kitchen as well or a creme/tan ceramic or stone and use it also on a back splash of the counter to tie it all together. GL

Run the walnut throughout the kitchen would be my first thought. If you are stuck on tiles, then I would pick a lighter beige colour that has the odd dark spot and the odd light spot to blend all your colours together…I have travertine in my bathroom similar to what I have described that would look great with your kitchen. To pick out a great floor, take a piece of your walnut flooring with you to the tile store and start looking for something that will match it. Your kitchen colours will go with anything.

Something like this that is not one solid colour would be nice.
